Dear Editor,

I am writing this for all the soldiers of the 1120th SMC. We thank you and your staff for support and prayers through the mail. We really thank you so much and we want to thank all our families for being there for us. We love you Ada. God Bless you all. We will defend our nation.

I wish to thank the Ada Evening News and all the staff members who compiled my profile in the new Ada Magazine. Everyone did a wonderful job and I am grateful to all. Thank you.

Dear Editor,

­I am a woman voter and have always chosen to vote for the person, not the party. I have been a fan of Sen. John McCain for a long time.

I do not find Sen. John McCain's choice of Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate mind boggling. I would choose integrity, honesty and hard work over so called "experience" any day.

How much experience did our founding fathers have in setting up a republic? Not only are we still here, we also are the strongest nation on the planet.

Gov. Palin has been a successful mayor and governor in Alaska. She was not afraid to go up against corruption in her own party. Oh sure, I know she's a small town lady, but living in a small town and I know very capable people that could do the same thing they do in Ada in a much larger setting.

Gov. Palin having an 80 percent approval rate in Alaska says something doesn't it? She just may be what we most need, a fresh untainted blood, lacking the red-tape methods Washington has evolved to help Sen. McCain lead and realize his vision for renewal in America.

If you are registered to vote, you don't have to vote for the party you are registered with, so go vote your choice.

Whatever happens, we will soon be witness to one of the most fascinating presidential elections in American history.
