R.T. Busey
R.T. Busey of Elmore City, Okla., was born to R.G. and Mattie (Coffey) Busey on Sept. 4, 1928, at Pernell, Okla., and passed away Oct. 10, 2009.
R.T. was a family man and was with his loving family at the time of his death Saturday.
R.T. grew up in the Pernell area. R.T. and Lahunta McIntyre were united in marriage in Gainesville, Texas on July 29, 1950. To this union two sons were born. The couple raised their children in Elmore City. R.T. worked as a pumper in the oilfield and drove a tank truck. He was retired from Graham Resources.
The highlight of his life was his family. Spending time with his grandchildren brought him great pleasure. Fishing was high on the list of favorite things to do.
R.T. is survived by his wife: Lahunta Busey of the home; two sons and their wives: Ronnie and Darlene Busey, and Gail and Ruthie Busey, all of Elmore City; one brother: Naman Busey of Pernell, Oklahoma; one sister: Olene Moore of Pernell, Oklahoma; three grandchildren: Justin Busey, Dusty Busey and Chris Busey; and three great-grandchildren: Colby Busey, Caleb Busey and Kara Wickware.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R.G. and Mattie Busey; his brothers, Vernon and Roy Lee Busey; his sister, Bonnie Patterson; and his granddaughter, Kandi Dawn Busey.
Graveside funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at 10 a.m. in the Elmore City Cemetery with Joe Terrell officiating. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.woosterfuneralhomes.com.
