Katie Levern (Victor) Prather
Funeral services for Katie Levern (Victor) Prather, 68, Lawton will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Lawton. Mrs. Prather died Saturday in Lawton.
Burial will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.
She was born July 25, 1941, in Pauls Valley, Okla., to William and Lona Lucille (Cox) Victor.
She grew up in Pauls Valley and was a graduate of Pauls Valley High School. She had lived in Kansas from 1963 until 1990 and while there joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ulysses, Kansas. She moved to Lawton several years ago from Frederick.
She married Raymond F. Prather on Sept. 27, 1958, in Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2005. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by five children and their spouses: Floyd T. and Donna Prather, Fort McCoy, Wis., Kathy and Dan Hallagin, Lawton, Rhonda and Anthony Coppenhaver, Wichita Falls, Texas, Scott and Shawna Prather, Iowa Park, Texas, and Marshall Prather, Lawton; 14 grandchildren and their spouses: Corey Thomas and Jamie Prather, Fort Carson, Colo., Dustin Ray Prather and Charles Nicholas Prather, both of Junction City, Kansas, Dessirea Kay and Jeremy Lofland, Lewisville, Texas, Daniel James Hallagin, Lawton, Michael Ray Hallagin, Lawton, Timothy Walter Hallagin, Lawton, Rashonda Ann Gray, Rashel Lyn Gray and Ryan J. Gray, all of Wichita Falls, Texas, Levi William Prather and Shaina Mae Prather, both of Iowa Park, Texas, Ace Lee Prather and Boomer Vaughn, both of Lawton; seven great-grandchildren: Taven Prather, Kayden Prather, Ronni Prather, Zoie Lofland, Alexander Lofland, Shandra Pierre and Siarha Gray; and three brothers: Billy Victor, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Allen Victor, Ada, Okla., and Jimmy Don Smith, Moore, Okla.
Her parents preceded her in death.
