John July Collins

John July Collins of Elmore City was born July 17, 1956, in St. Joe, Missouri to Bill and Louella (Carden) Collins. He passed away at his home in Elmore City, Okla., at the age of 53 years, 2 months and 29 days.

He was a retired truck driver. John lived in the Elmore City and Wynnewood areas most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louella in 2006.

Pallbearers will be Cody York, Joe Crawford, Hill Walling, James Lofton, Brent Christian and Burl Solie.

Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Pickard Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Sammy Bray. Burial will be at McGee Cemetery in Stratford, Okla., under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home.

Survivors include one daughter, Jamie Moss of Elmore City, Okla.; father, Bill Collins of Stratford, Okla.; one granddaughter, Medelyn Moss of Elmore City; one brother, Billy Collins of Konawa, Okla.; one sister, Pat Arthur of Chickasha, Okla.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
