Eva Moss

Eva Moss, 93, of Katie, Okla., passed away Oct. 17, 2009, in Pauls Valley, Okla. Eva was born to Jess and Lillie (Jones) Dearman on Sept. 26, 1916, in Hennepin, Okla.

On Dec. 31, 1934, in Katie, Okla., Eva married Telford Moss and from this marriage they had four sons.

Eva loved going to church, visiting with her friends and she worked side by side with her husband for years. She also loved to do canning from their garden and feeding any animal that would come around.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, T.H. Moss; an infant son; parents: Lillie and Jess Dearman; three brothers: Gerald David, Kenneth and Arlie; and two sisters: Linda Dearman and Alma Jones.

Survivors include three sons and their wives: Gerald and Judy of Duncan, Okla.; Don and Linda of Katie, Okla.; and Buddy and Sharron of Katie, Okla.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren and their spouses: Lisa and Rich McCarty of Lincoln, Neb., Russell and Cathy Moss of Central, Okla., Becky and Eric Legleiter of Norman, Okla., Penny and Pat McGinnis of Hays, Kan., Steve and Jana Moss of Tulsa, Okla., Charissa and Bobby Thornburg of Katie, Okla., and Darren Moss of Katie, Okla.; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons; two sisters; JoAnn Ward of Elmore City and Wanda Sisk of Silom Springs, Ark., and many, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Moss are scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Katie Victory Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Beckham officiating. Interment will be in the Katie Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
