Rocky Dale Anderson
Rocky Dale Anderson, 51, entered this life on Sept. 11, 1958, to Jack Dempsey and Nora Jane (Haley) Anderson in Wynnewood, Okla. He entered into rest Oct. 15, 2009, in Shawnee, Okla., due to complication from a motorcycle accident which occurred in April 2009.
Rocky grew up in the Paoli, Pauls Valley and Midwest City areas.
He married Kimberly Dianne Grimes in Fayetteville, Ark., and of that union he joyfully accepted three step-children as his own. Rocky was employed by Oklahoma Operators Union #627 where he worked for many years as backhoe operator.
Being with family, friends and riding his motorcycle were what he appreciated most in life. In his younger years, he excelled in baseball and enjoyed all sports. Rocky freely gave any monumental gain he acquired. During the trials of his life, he found comfort in God, his savior.
He was preceded in death by parents and grandparents.
His survivors include his wife: Kim of the home; three children of the home: Brittany, Hunter and Kersten; three daughters: Raneta Anderson and Dalena Anderson both of Racine, Wis., and Ashley Anderson of Sulphur, Okla.; one granddaughter, Madelyn Kathryn of Wisconsin; one brother, Jack Cunningham of Newalla, Okla.; three sisters: Gayle Krien of Sulphur, Okla., Doylene Cunningham of Pauls Valley, Okla., and Judy Dunn of Seminole, Okla.; and father and mother-in-law: James and Dorothy Grimes of Choctaw, Okla.
A graveside service was held Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at Paoli Cemetery, Paoli, Okla., with Pastor Denise Abston officiating.
Professional services were under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Notes of remembrance or condolences may be sent to the family at www.stufflebeanfuneralhome.com.
