Betty Jean Readnour
Betty Jean Readnour, 81, was born December 20, 1927, and went to be with her beloved savior on October 26, 2009.
She was born in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Ivan and Virginia Semler.
She was a devoted Christian and attended First Baptist Church in Wynnewood. Betty worked for 25 years at First Heritage National Bank and retired in 1990.
Betty married Ralph Goodman on May 4, 1946. They were married until his death on September 16, 1966. To this union three children were born — Jimmy Lewis Goodman, Janet Lane Fennelly and Connie Sue Smith.
She married William Kenneth Readnour on October 28, 1972, and added two stepdaughters, Sherri Jo Harrell and Carolyn Jean Davis.
Betty loved to go camping and fishing. She loved to bake and was a wonderful cook. She loved to travel. Betty also loved watching football games, especially the OU Sooners and Dallas Cowboys.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of the home; one son, Jimmy Lewis Goodman of Norman; daughter and her husband, Janet and John Fennelly of Edmond; daughter, Connie Sue Smith of Oklahoma City; stepdaughter and her husband, Sherri and Dwayne Harrell of Wynnewood; stepdaughter and her husband, Carolyn and Bill Davis of Wynnewood; grandchildren: Amy King, Kate Fennelly, Kim Wilson, Jessica Hill and Cody Davis; and six great-grandchildren.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Services will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wynnewood, Okla., officiated by Rev. Wayne Wall. Burial follows at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood.
