Evelyn Juanita Chandler

Evelyn Juanita Chandler, a resident of Wynnewood, was born January 6, 1926 in De Queen, Arkansas to Minnie (Hunt) and Boyd Ashley.

She passed away October 28, 2009 at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 22 days.

She was married to Ted David Chandler at Wynnewood, Okla., in November of 1942.

She worked as a Stanley Dealer selling home products door to door for over 50 years. She was a Wynnewood resident since age 5. She was a member of First Baptist Church for over 60 years. Mrs. Chandler also loved to trout fish and camp with her family at Blue River.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted David Chandler; and a sister, Geraldine Miller.

She is survived by her daughter, Velia Ann Gipson of Kimberling City, Mo.; two sons and daughters-in-law: Ricky and JoAnne Chandler of Wynnewood, Okla., and Randy and Judy Chandler of Wynnewood, Okla.; brother, Larry Ashley of Wynnewood, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wynnewood with Rev. Wayne Wall officiating. Burial follows at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood.
