William Bill Clayton Jr.

William Bill Clayton Jr. of Stillwater, Okla., was born to C.B. and Effie Mae (Taylor) Clayton on May 9, 1941, in Wynnewood, Okla., and passed from this life on Nov., 3, 2009, in Stillwater, Okla., at the age of 69.

William grew up and attended school in Wynnewood, Okla. On Oct. 20, 1964, he married Carolyn Vaughn in Ardmore, Okla. Together they made their home in Wynnewood.

William worked at S.O.R.C. as a plumber for 17 years and volunteered for the Wynnewood Fire Department for 10 years. In his spare time he enjoyed pheasant hunting in Kansas.

Mr. Clayton is survived by his wife: Carolyn of the home; two sons: Randy Clayton of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Dustin Clayton of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and two brothers.

Mr. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents: C.B. and Effie Clayton; one brother and one sister.

Funeral services for Mr. Clayton are scheduled for Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley, Okla., with the Rev. Larry Cornforth officiating. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
