Ken Lance Sports Arena transformed into youth rodeo camp and arena

UNION VALLEY — Ken Lance Sports Arena is being transformed into a youth rodeo camp and arena as well as a cowboy church that will meet on Monday nights starting in April. “We are looking for volunteers to help renovate — people who would like to see the facility used for the Lord, to reach people,” said Randall Christy, president of 3-Crosses Ken Lance Arena and Youth Camp. “This is a great opportunity to create a facility for all churches and organizations to use and do something positive for our youth.”

Volunteers worked this past week tearing out old insulation and damaged walls, cleaning up the arena and getting it ready to paint.

“We’ve raised only about $2,500 so far, but we are pressing forward, doing as much volunteer work as possible,” Christy said.

Mike Russell, an Oklahoma evangelist and missionary, will be instrumental in starting the cowboy church.
