ADA — “The Prince and the Pauper and the People” will be coming exclusively to the First United Methodist Church of Ada at 10:45 a.m. April 27. The event will be performed by Kingdom Kids in the church sanctuary.
“The Prince and the Pauper and the People” is the story of the good and wonderful Prince Christopher who has everything it seems — everything except the love and acceptance of his people. He is separated from his people by the deep and treacherous “Murky Moat.” However, his love for his people is so strong that he sheds his crown and his robes and braves the “Murky Moat” to be with his people in the land of Everywhere.
Prince Christopher, played by Hunter Frazier, is disappointed by the way he is treated by his people, but it seems the more they hurt him, the more he loves them. Ultimately he must make a decision that will either save or destroy the citizens of Everywhere forever.
The script was written by Lisa Elliott, First United Methodist Church’s director of children’s ministries, and the music was written by Mandy Morgan, director of children’s music.
