CANYON, Texas — West Texas A&M University has named more than 1, 000 students to honors lists of the spring 2008 semester. Of that total, 367 were named to the President’s List and 645 students were named to the Dean’s List.
Among those listed on the honors list was Amy L. Thompson, Ada.
Locals among OBU 2008 graduates
SHAWNEE — Two Ada residents received their bachelor’s degree during Oklahoma Baptist University’s 2008 Spring Commencement May 17 in the university’s Raley Chapel.
Magan ShaLea Smith graduated with a degree in family psychology.
Matthew Shane Smith graduated with a degree in marketing.
The graduates were were two of 247 graduates recognized at OBU’s 2008 Spring Commencement.
Erin Sweeney name dto dean’s list
ADA — Erin Sweeney, Ada, was named to the dean’s list at Austin College for the fall term 2007. She is the daughter of Shane Sweeny, Ada, and Nancy Sweeny May, Rowlett, Texas.
