New minister at Allen Church of Christ is Mark Legg.
Legg and his wife, Robyn, moved to Allen from El Reno May 23. He is a native of Oklahoma, growing up on a farm in Craig County. Robyn is a native of Africa. They met during the 11 years Mark spent working as a missionary in Zimbabwe, Africa. They have four adult children and 11 grandchildren, all living in the Oklahoma City area.
The Leggs completed more than 20 years serving the London and Macomb Church in El Reno. Mark has also served churches in Pawhuska, Eldorado, Granite and Blair. He graduated from Oklahoma Christian University of Science and Arts and holds a bachelor of arts degree from David Lipscomb University of Nashville, Tenn.
Robyn is a territorial assistant for Hallmark Greeting Cards and supervises card displays in several stores in the Oklahoma City area, Norman, Ada, Durant, Ardmore and McAlester. She has worked in some capacity with Hallmark for more than 20 years.
Mark is still involved with the work of the church in Zimbabwe and has made mission trips there several times since moving from there in 1974. At the present, he solicits funds to help with drought and famine relief and support of preachers and churches in Zimbabwe. He has had a wide range of experience in personal and public evangelistic efforts, counseling and pulpit speaking. The local church extends a warm welcome, inviting the community to attend any of its assemblies and become acquainted with the Leggs. Bible classes begin at 9:45 a.m. Sunday and worship at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday services are at 7 p.m.
The church is located at 403 E. Broadway in Allen.
