Church celebrates 60 years

Stonewall Free Will Baptist Church invites people throughout the surrounding area to join them this Saturday, Aug. 16 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in celebrating 60 years of Christian service.

The church’s pastor, Dennis Heath, said, “We know there are many people who have had a past affiliation with the church during these past 60 years, and we want them to come and celebrate with us. This is the first celebration the church has had in its history, and we want everyone to enjoy reminiscing with us as we give glory to God for His provision over the years.”

Several former pastors will be on hand, as well as Ernest Harrison, recently retired Oklahoma State Association of Free Will Baptists Executive Secretary. There will be children’s activities, table games, gospel singing, and hamburgers and hotdogs. The day’s events will be capped off with the viewing of a multimedia history of the church.
