Singing in Fittstown

FITTSTOWN — Fittstown Baptist Church hosts its third Sunday singing at 6 p.m. Aug. 17. The Gooden Family from Tishomingo will not be able to attend. Instead, Vince and Robbin Abbott will be the featured singers. Fellowship will follow the singing. Pastor of the church is Chris Brannon.



New pastors to be installed

CAVALRY — Rev. Farron and Debbie Oliver , new pastors of Ada Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, will be installed by Bishop Randall O. Drake on Sunday, Aug. 17 during the 10:45 a.m. service.



Church hosts Ladies Breakfast

ADA — College Heights Baptist Church will host its monthly “Ladies Breakfast” Saturday, August 16, at 10 a.m. The church is located at 927 E. Seventh St. in Ada. All ladies, any age, are invited to attend for food and Christian fellowship.



Gospel Singing in Seminole

SEMINOLE—The 38th annual Seminole Gospel Singing will be held Aug. 20, 21, 22, and 23 at Music Park, located one mile south of Seminole on US 377 (SH 99). Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs. Concessions available and building provided in case of rain, beginning at 7:30 each night. Admission is $17.50 for adults at the gate. Anniversary reception held for pastoral family

ADA—Ahloso Baptist Church is inviting residents to join them for worship and praise: Sunday school, 10 a.m., morning worship, 11 a.m. evening worship, 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday’s at 7 p.m. An anniversary reception for Rev. Dan and Linda Cusher will be held Aug. 17 at 12 p.m. They have been with the church for six years. Everyone is invited to attend.



Radio station broadcasts encouraging

ADA—Pat Petsemoie is inviting residents to tune in for a live radio program “Praise Him in the Morning with Pat” every Sunday morning on 106.5 BOSS F.M. Listeners will hear music and words of encouragement.



Christmas in August at Asbury United Methodist Church

ADA — Sunday, August 17th, Asbury United Methodist Church invites the community to celebrate Christmas in August. The birth of Christ, the Son of God, will be the message; Christmas hymns will be sung and Santa Claus will visit with the children.

Immediately following the 10:30 a.m. service, Christmas dinner will be served in the Family Life Center. Turkey and dressing will take center stage along with church members providing their favorite side dishes and desserts. Sunday’s festivities are being held in preparation for Project Noell, a celebration of Christmas held for families who might not be able to provide gifts for their children.

Donations of toys, games, and cash will be blessed at the altar during Sunday’s Worship service. Asbury United Methodist Church is located on the corner of W. 6th and Johnston in Ada. For additional information, phone (580)332-5266.
