Crosspointe launchs new Recovery Group

ADA — In a refreshing but solid approach to conquering dysfunctional behaviors, Celebrate Recovery® (CR), an international leadership factory group founded 16 years ago by Rick Warren (New York Times best-selling author of “The Purpose Driven Life”) and John Baker have achieved results by offering “wholeness” to people everywhere.

Baker, a believer who struggled with alcohol, is associate pastor at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., and sparked the empowering idea. A new Recovery Group in Ada will launch Thursday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. and will meet weekly at Crosspointe Church.

Celebrate Recovery is for anyone interested in having God free them from addictions, compulsions, and their hurts, hang-ups, and habits. Although Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program, it is not restricted by any religion or denomination.

Everyone is invited to participate in this life-changing program, which will provide a safe environment where people can deal with their issues in anonymity, according to Shawn Wiebers, lead pastor at Crosspointe Church.
