See you at the pole

Baptist Village of Ada held its second annual See You At the Pole recently and 39 met to pray . The Senior Saints gathered at their flagpole, just like students all over the world did earlier that morning. The event, organized by administrative assistant Charla Priest began with patriotic singing lead by Campus Director James Rosson. Residents and staff were joined by Harold Ware and several First Baptist Church senior adults, as well as Baptist Village chaplains, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Bolich. Included in the group were decorated war veterans, retired school teachers and administrators, and many other retired professionals. These prayer warriors, with all the wisdom and history of their years eagerly prayed for the next generation of soldiers, teachers, and future leaders of this great country. "With hearts full of gratefulness for God’s merciful blessings, the Villagers humbly asked the Lord to heal our land, bless our children, encourage our teachers, protect our soldiers, grant wisdom for our election, and to save our lost," said Priest. There are 8 Baptist Village Retirement Communities scattered across Oklahoma, each hosting their own “Senior” SYATP event.
