Fall festival scheduled at local church
ADA — Trinity Baptist Church hosts a fall festival from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28. Activities include free Moonbounce, popcorn, cotton candy and game booths. Events are designed for children ages kindergarten through fifth grade. Church leaders say parents are encouraged to attend with their children.
Ada church hosts holiday bazaar Oct. 24
ADA — First Free Will Baptist Church, located at 15th and Ash in Ada, hosts its annual holiday bazaar Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be 30 booths with items for sale including hair bows, candy, candles, beauty products, cookbooks, holiday decorations, pecan products, baked goods, floral arrangements, scrapbooks, jewelry, woodcrafts, kitchen products, burpies, blankets and bibs. Chicken noodle dinner, roll, dessert and drink will be available for $5.
Church to host free carnival
UNION VALLEY — Union Valley Baptist Church hosts a free community carnival Sunday, Oct. 25, from 6-8 p.m. Events include food, games, candy and a Clydesdale wagon The event is open to the public.
Hayride and wiener roast scheduled
ADA — Grace Fellowship Christian Church will be getting into the fall spirit Sunday at 6 p.m. The annual event includes a hayride, marshmallow and wiener roast and fellowship around an open fire. For more information, phone Grace Fellowship at 332-7133 or visit the church Sunday morning.
Bible lessons offered on second coming
ADA — New Life Church of the Apostolic Faith offers Bible lessons on the second coming of Jesus. Refreshments will be served. For more information, phone 436-1765. The church is located on East 32nds Street next door to Pete's Catfish House.
Trunk or Treat event scheduled
ADA — Legacy Church of Ada host a Trunk or Treat fall festival from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28. Events include free food and games, inflatables, silent auction and 25 cent paddle auction. For more information, contact Lori at 320-4061 or Scott at 320-1750.
Chalupa dinner scheduled Saturday
FITZHUGH — Chalupa dinner takes place from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Fitzhugh United Methodist Church. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children. Proceeds go to purchase shoes and coats for needy children.
Trunk or Treat set Saturday
ADA — High Hill Baptist Church hosts a Trunk or Treat from 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. The event is open to the public. The church is located at the intersection of Thomas Ranch Road and Monte Vista.
Delivered to perform in Ada
ADA — Delivered, a Southern Gospel group, performs at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at First Free Will Baptist Church, 421 S. Ash. The event is free and open to the public. A love offering will be taken.
Tickets go on sale for Smorgasbord
ADA — The 59th annual St. Joseph Smorgasbord Dinner will be held Sunday, Nov. 15. Serving times are 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Dinner will be served in the parish hall located at 1300 E. Beverly. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 10 and can be purchased from parishioners or by contacting the parish office.
As part of the traditional Smorgasbord event, the bazaar will be located in the educational building. On display will be a selection of candies, pies, cakes, breads and handmade crafts. A raffle will be held with a chance to win a Nintendo Wii console game set.
