Anthem causes stir at OU games

    Monroe Elementary School student Sage Rasmussen, in a horse costume, brought a horse to school Friday to help motivate Monroe Mustangs for their annual jog-a-thon. Students, teachers, parents and grandparents joined in the fundraiser.

    The 24th Annual Brookhaven Run was held Sept. 5 in Norman. More than 1,100 entrants ran and walked the 5k course.

    The 12th Annual Norman Clash between the Norman North and Norman High football teams is set for Thursday at Memorial Stadium on the University of Oklahoma campus. Gates open at 6 p.m. with kick-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

    There is no argument that what Vick did to get sentenced to 23 months in prison was wrong and he has said so multiple times. But I do not feel Vick should have to placate anyone by allowing them to judge how sorry he is.
