Ordinance a first for Noble

The Noble City Council unanimously approved an ordinance at its regular City Council meeting on Nov. 16 restricting the use of tobacco in any form on public property.
The new ordinance enhances one already in effect that bans smoking in public places
SWAT (Students Warring Against Tobacco) spokesperson Colton Clock and other student members of the Noble SWAT Team attended the meeeting.

    The house at 4th and Cherry belongs to Betty Whitlock. The old house demolished belonged to her dad and was more than 100 years old.

    The City of Noble recently completed an Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency project with the construction of three replacement houses for low-income families.

    NOBLE -- An ongoing dispute between a veteran who uses a wheelchair and the city continues.
    Donald Vowell, a decorated war veteran with 22 years of military service, has been formally asked by the police not to ride recklessly in his wheelchair on the streets in Noble or he will receive a citation.

    "Fall into Scrapbooking," a hands-on workshop for adults, will be 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Noble Public Library, 204 N. Fifth.
