The group invites anyone who is interested in preserving the history of Noble and surrounding areas to come and participate. Society seeks to preserve area history Transcript Staff The Southern Cleveland County Historical Society will meet 7 p.m. Monday at the Noble Public Library. The group invites anyone who is interested in preserving the history of Noble and surrounding areas to come and participate.
The group will go over donated items and be getting the old historical jail ready to occupy.Anyone who knows more of the history of the jail is asked to come or call one of the members with the information. The pictured water tower was built in 1912 and is still at its present location, and the group seeks to preserve the tower and its history, as well as to gather information on the tower, such as who helped build it and any interesting stories.
