Miss Stanly, Outstanding Teen head to state pageants

— Hallie Edwards and Nicole Kippes are competing for Miss North Carolina and Miss North Carolina Outstanding Teen, respectively, this week.
The Miss North Carolina Pageant is a state preliminary pageant for the Miss American Pageant.
On May 31, Edwards had the opportunity to share her Miss North Carolina Ward-robe with friends and family as she modeled her entire Competition Wardrobe that she will be wearing at the Miss North Carolina Pageant.
The 2010 Miss North Caro-lina Pageant will begin June 23, with the Preliminary nights of competition beginning for the Miss and the Outstanding Teen.
Kippes, Miss Stanly County Outstanding Teen, joined Edwards at South Stanly to also show her Competition Wardrobe.
Following is the competition schedule for both Edwards and Kippes:
Tuesday: Evening Gown and On Stage Question;
Wednesday: Swimsuit for Edwards and Fitness Wear for Kippes; and
Thursday: Talent.
Kippes will have her meeting with the judges for interview on Monday while Edwards’ interview will take place on Friday.
On Friday evening, Miss North Carolina Outstanding Teen for 2010 will be crowned.
The 2010 Miss North Carolina crown will be awarded to the winner on June 27.
