United Way prize winner meets Kellie

— Kellie Pickler raffle winner Lynn Shires was absolutely blown away when she realized that she had won second row tickets to the Taylor Swift concert, with Kellie Pickler as the opening act, at the Greensboro Coliseum on June 12.
Shires attended the concert with her husband, Gary. The coliseum was packed with more than 15,000 people in attendance. Shires had the privilege of meeting Pickler backstage before the concert and thoroughly enjoyed herself during the performance.
“She waved and blew us a kiss from up on stage. I just couldn’t believe it,” said Shires.
Shires was also presented with a gift basket containing a Kellie Pickler autographed CD and photograph, a Sonic gift card and hair products from Big Sexy Hair.
The raffle was sponsored by United Way of Stanly County.
United Way raised more than $1,500 for the fundraiser, which will be used to support its agencies.
“United Way is very appreciative to the Kellie Pickler management for supporting our fundraiser,” said Jennifer Gullette, executive director of United Way.
“It was a great fundraiser for us, and we are very grateful to highlight one of Stanly’s own and it’s a boost to the community.”
