BBQ dinner
The Aquadale Elementary BBQ will take place from 11-6:30 p.m. Nov. 14. Plates of barbecued chicken or pork will be sold for $7. You may also purchase barbecue by the pound.
Lions Club
Norwood Lions Club will be having their all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast from 7:30-11 a.m. Nov. 7 at Nor-wood Methodist Church Hut, Pee Dee Avenue. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children under 12, or $15 for the family special. Pan-cakes, bacon, sausage, coffee, juice and milk will be served.
The Lions Club has American flags for sale on wooden poles for $10 or vinyl poles for $15. These flags are in good shape. You may contact any Lions Club member or call SS Services at (704) 474-7699.
Veteran’s Day
Parade
The 2009 Veteran’s Day Parade will take place Nov. 11 in Albemarle. All veteran’s organizations are welcome to participate, but must fill out a parade entry form. Local businesses may apply to be in the parade also.
An entry fee of $20 and a Parade Entry form are required from businesses. This is to help defray the parade production cost.
Call Marge Smith for the entry form or any information at (704) 474-3214. It would be great to have entries from Norwood.
