Nens-Gossett
Annette Nens and Austin Gossett were united in marriage at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, on the beach in Marco Island, Fla.
The bride is the daughter of Ann and John Nens of Terre Haute. She is a 2000 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, a graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration, and of Lakeland College with an associate’s degree in applied science. She is a dental hygienist at Roshel Family Dentistry.
The bridegroom is the son of Sue and Rick Gossett of Clinton. He is a graduate of South Vermillion High School in Clinton, a 2007 graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor of science degree in business management, and is employed by Lowe’s.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
A reception followed at CJ’s on the bay in Marco Island.
The couple took a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and now reside in Terre Haute.
Lowe-Rifkin
Melissa Kay Lowe of West Terre Haute and Jonathan Maurice Rifkin of Clayton were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 23, 2008, at Martha’s Orchard in Clayton.
David Lowe of West Terre Haute officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Vickie and Roy Lowe of West Terre Haute. She is a 1999 graduate of West Vigo High School in West Terre Haute, attended Indiana State University, and is employed by Hendricks County Bank in Brownsburg.
Rifkin is the son of JoAnn and Gary Rifkin of Clayton. He is a 1996 graduate of Cascade High School, a 2001 graduate of Indiana State University, and a pilot for Jet Linx.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Christy Elkins of West Terre Haute, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Danielle Vanhorn of Plainfield, Kimberly Paridean of Chicago, Cindy Hooper of Chicago, Sarah Forker of Brazil and Rebecca Crumley of Indianapolis were bridesmaids.
Kailey and Ashlie Rifkin of Aurora, nieces of the bridegroom, were junior bridesmaids.
Shawn Rifkin of Aurora, Ill., brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Dallas Smith of Crescent Springs, Ky., Matt Williams of Avon, Jason Tucher of Warren, Pa., Graham Bitner of Mooresville and David Crumley of Indianapolis were groomsmen.
Chelsea Elkins of West Terre Haute, niece of the bride, and Julia Rifkin of Aurora, Ill., niece of the bridegroom, were flower girls.
Dalton Elkins of West Terre Haute, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Roy Lowe III of West Terre Haute, brother of the bride, and Chris Mahan of Indianapolis, were ushers.
Cody Elkins of West Terre Haute, nephew of the bride, was guest book attendant.
A reception followed at Martha’s Orchard.
The couple took an Eastern Caribbean cruise and now reside in Clayton.
