  • Classic children's tale to be staged at Mountain Playhouse
    The classic children’s story “Charlotte’s Web” will be presented by TheatreWorks USA at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Playhouse, Jennerstown. The story tells about the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a gray spider named Charlotte and is set in a barnyard and at the county fair.
  • Fergie concert at Penn State postponed
    Due to a recent NCAA ruling regarding the participation of student-athletes, MSL Sports & Entertainment announced Monday that the 2008 Gridiron Bash has been postponed at all venues nationally. Penn State was scheduled to host the Gridiron Bash on Friday, April 18, as part of its Blue White Weekend festivities with a concert by pop star Fergie.

    Penn State’s Beaver Stadium is going “Fergalicious.” The night before the Nittany Lions hold their annual spring football scrimmage, pop star Fergie will headline the first-ever concert at Beaver Stadium.
