Tentative dates to apply to be on the board of Emergency Services District No. 7 were set at Tuesday’s Parker County Commissioners Court meeting.

Precinct 3 Commissioner Jon Roth motioned for a notification to be made announcing all applications will be due to Judge Mark Riley’s office by 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4. Roth said after they see the applications, interview dates will start to be set.

Riley said in previous appointments applications have been made available to the public on the city Web site. He said the information is “not concrete” and a press release will follow.

Dwain K. Brown, a representative from Freese and Nichols, gave an update on transportaion projects. He said Flat Rock Road and Oak Ridge are “substatially complete” but since Flat Rock still has some small additions they are not moving to close the contract yet.

“On Pojo Road, since the weather has been favorable we’ve been able to make significant headway and hope to start paving next week,” Brown said.

The county will also release a notification of the posting of “No Thru Truck” signs on Scarlett Road.
