Kimbrell, Burris marry

ADA — Kimberly Kimbrell, Roff, and Melvin Burris, Ada, were married May 3, 2009, at Harmony Baptist Church. The Rev. Ken Wolf officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Elzie and Joann Priest, Ada. The bridegroom is the son of Sebena Burris, Byng.

The bride wore a satin fitted shirt with three-quarter length sleeves and French cuffs and wide lapels with a rhinestone buckle. Her skirt was a tea-length handkerchief style made in black satin. She wore black patent leather flats with rhinestones.

Her bouquet was created with oceanic roses, light pink roses, white roses and lavender with yellow daisies and greenery.

The bridegroom wore a white western cut shirt and western-style black suit coat with silver conchos and black boots and a silver and turquoise bolo. His boutonniere was three white roses.

Bridesmaids were Amanda Mericle, daughter of the bridegroom, Taylor Boolin, granddaughter of the bridegroom, April Burris, daughter-in-law of the bridegroom, Kirsten Kimbrell, daughter of the bride, and Khloé Kimbrell, daughter of the bride.

Groomsmen were Matt Mericle, son-in-law of the bridegroom, and Adam and Josh Burris, sons of the bridegroom. They wore black shirts with Wranglers and boutonnieres made with one rose.

The church was decorated with large four-foot ferns and white columns.

The violinist was Kristina Hogan, niece of the bride.

Guests were registered by Kristal Rhoten and Cindy Griffin.

The reception area was decorated in roses, wild flowers and tulips. Pictures of the couple and their children were displayed on a table.

The bride's table, flanked by white columns and ferns, was decorated with a black tablecloth, crystal vases, roses, wildflowers and the bride's bouquet. A statue of a bride and bridegroom, dancing, adorned the bride's table. It was a gift to the couple.

The three-tier apple-cinnamon wedding cake was decorated in off-white and taupe. The center layer was square with the words "Peace, Joy, Faith and Love" written on each side. Topping the cake was a porcelain statue of a bride and bridegroom.

Fresh strawberry punch was made by Nicole Griffin.

The bridegroom's cake was a chocolate cake in a horseshoe shape decorated with the couple's brand.

The table was decorated with an engraved wooden cross and a family photo of the couple and their children.

Serving refreshments were Amanda Mericle, April Burris and the bride's nieces Kandyce Davis, Tana Priest and Keisha Priest.

The couple danced at the wedding to their song by George Strait, "I Cross My Heart." The bridegroom danced with the bride's daughters to the song, "How Sweet It Is to Be Loved by You."

The couple left the reception in a line of bubbles in their black Corvette. They will make their home in Roff.
