Burgos, Hill exchange vows

ADA — Exchanging wedding vows May 3, 2008, were Sonia Pilar Burgos, Ada, and Michael Sean Hill, Tecumseh. Dane Robinson, pastor and friend of the bride, officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony at Wintersmith Park.

The bride is the daughter of Luis Burgos and Linda Burgos-Yates, Peru and Ada. She is the granddaughter of Lydia Coffey and James Charley, Ada.

Parents of the bridegroom are David and Doneta Hill, Tecumseh.

Bridesmaids were Melani Hilyard, Laura Jones and Tara Basler, all of Ada.

Groomsmen were Josh Burchman and Casey Johnson, both of Shawnee, and Tyler Hill, brother of the bridegroom, Shawnee.

Other attendants included Nathaniel Ferguson, ring bearer and great-nephew of the bride, Rogers, Ark.; Katelyn Ferguson, bride’s great-niece and flower girl, Rogers, Ark., and Mackenzi Fair, flower girl, Shawnee.

Kamie Thurman, Kim Flores, both of Rogers, Ark., and Rachel Smith, Ada, hosted a reception at Wintersmith Park Lodge.

The bride's colors were red and white. There were more than seven dozen red roses used in the ceremony. The bride's bouquet consisted of one and a half dozen red roses, sprigs of Trescia encircled with Boston fern and bound by white beads and streamers of red and white thin ribbons.

The bride's gown was a beautiful strapless gown with a full Cinderella skirt. The bodice and skirt were embellished with sequines and seed beads. The bride's gown was from Lillian's and the cake was from the Cake Company.

The couple would like to formally thank the photographer, Irene Hunt of Fittstown, and say that Miss Kim Flores, Racheal Smith, Kamie Thurman were an undeniable help in arranging things for the reception.

The bride graduated from Byng High School in 2007 and works as an assistant manager for Cato's in Shawnee after spending two years working for the Cato's in Ada.

The bridegroom graduated from Bethal High School in 2006, and works at Wolverine Factory in Shawnee.

Following the ceremony, the bride and bridegroom were presented with the beautiful pink and maroon leather Bible used by Robinson during the ceremony. The newly wed couple would like to thank everyone who shared in their joyous day.

The couple honeymooned in the bridal suite at Quality Inn, Shawnee, and enjoyed a day at the Oklahoma City Zoo.
