Makella Carlson weds DeWayne Potts
ADA — Exchanging wedding vows April 25, 2009, were Makella Carlson, Ada, and DeWayne Potts, Fitzhugh. Tony Peak officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony at Lovelady Baptist Church, Ada.
The bride is the daughter of Ben Morris, Pauls Valley; and Gwen Cranford, Stratford.
Parents of the bridegroom are Meredith and Joyce Potts, Ada.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Ben Morris, and her son, Ethan Carlson, Ada.
Matron of honor was Jennifer Buckles, sister of the bride, Edmond. Bridesmaids were Brittney Morris, sister of the bride, and Alexandria Carlson, daughter of the bride, both of Ada.
Best man was Matthew Potts, son of the bridegroom, Ada. Groomsmen were Mitchell Potts, son of the bridegroom, and Ethan Carlson, son of the bride, both of Ada.
Flower girls were Auburn King, niece of the bridegroom, and Abbagayle Carlson, daughter of the bride, all of Ada.
A reception was hosted at Lovelady Baptist Church's fellowship hall. Greeter was Jane Mercer, Ada. Kay Pinley, Ada, was reception organizer. Assisting were Lisa Bumpus, Ada, Tammy Brakage, Konawa, and Misty Stinnett, Ada.
Wedding coordinators were Robin Steele and Abranda Masoner, both of Ada.
The couple is at home at Fitzhugh following a wedding trip to Branson, Mo.
"I would like to thank the extended parents of the bride, Jerry and Judy Wilcher, Glen and Betty Childers and Roger and Tina Cosby, for all their love and support and all they did to make our 'Big Day' a joyous one," said Makella Potts.
