Catalano, Lewis exchange vows at May ceremony

ADA — Amanda Catalano and Jeffrey Lewis were united in marriage May 16, 2009, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Rusty Hewes officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Joseph and Pamela Catalano of Ada. She is the granddaughter of Kathryn Catalano, Sterling, Mass. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dolega and Thomas Catalano.

Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Lewis of Edmond. He is the grandson of Carol Curtis of Bethany and the late Lloyd and Earline Lewis.

Presented in marriage by her parents, Pam and Joe Catalano, the bride was attended by her sister, Sarah Catalano, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cassandra Taylor, Stacy Blackwood and Kristi Bailey, all friends of the bride.

Brother of the groom, Ryan Lewis from Edmond, was bestman. Groomsmen were Craig Guffy, Edmond, Matt Pignato, Oklahoma City, and Scott Subert, Edmond.

Pam and Joe Catalano served as lectors during the ceremony. Jeff Lewis performed the presentation of gifts along with the brides’ aunt, Andrea Czerw of Utica, N.Y. Anne Marie Catalano from Sterling, Mass. was cantor. Alter servers were Kayla LaMack, Nicole and Noelle Varqas. Eucharistic ministers were Patti Diguilio and Sandy Poe.

Rudy Lupinski was organist at the ceremony.

The bride’s colors were black and bright pink.

The bride wore a Casa Blanca creation gown with pearls and rhinestones in a swirling pattern on the bottom. The bodice was strapless and embroidered top with a corseted front.

The reception, hosted by Monica Boe, Connie Frederick and Lori Sweeney, was held after the wedding ceremony at St. Joseph’s Benedictine Hall and catered by Mrs. B.

The music was provided by Craig Stone while the hall was decorated by Rosalinda Jones and Emily Camato.

The couple’s cake, a Classic Cakes creation, was a white cake with black Carnelian lace frosting covered with pink roses and greenery. The groom's cake was a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and chocolate dipped strawberries.

Prior to the date of the wedding, the bride was honored by her sister, Sarah, with a personal shower and bachelorette party May 12 at the bride’s apartment. April 19, Monica Boe, Cindy Crase, Lori Sweeney and Pat Ward — all friends of the mother of the bride — hosted a shower for the bride and groom at Ada Arts and Heritage Building.

The ladies of St. Joseph’s Benedictine Church hosted a shower at the home of Carol Naberhauson March 28.

The newlywed couple is at home in Ada after a cruise in the Bahamas.
