Monika Walker marries Jonathan Payne in Aug. 1 ceremony

STILLWATER — Monika Walker and Johnathan Payne, both of Stillwater, exchanged wedding vows Aug. 1, 2009, at Community Free Will Baptist Church, Pickett. John Henry Lippard officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Royce Walker and Beth Walker, both of Ada. She is the granddaughter of Kenneth and Elizabeth Hobbs, Ada; Tony and Rosemary Walker, Ada; and Richard Tucker, Meeker.

Parents of the bridegroom are Kenny and Stephanie Payne, Mountain View. Grandparents are Van and Carolyn Delk, Mt. View, and the late John and Mary Payne.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Royce Walker.

Bridesmaids were Christa Barlow and Melanie Novak, both of Stillwater, and Nicole Kliebert, Paulina, La.

Junior bridesmaid was Laramie Doffin, cousin of the bride, Ada.

Best man and groomsmen were Ryan Shields, Gotebo, Tanner Hopkins and Jarrod Barlow, both of Stillwater.

Ushers were Matthew Walker, brother of the bride, Lawrence, Kans., Taylor Augustine, brother of the bride, Ada, and Tristan Doffin, cousin of the bride, Ada.

Flower girl was Mabree Hooper, niece of the bridegroom, Mt. View.

Jeanie Neal was the photographer.

An outdoor reception was held at the home of Randy and Dona Doffin, uncle and aunt of the bride, Ada. Assisting were Joy Crowder and Shanna Stone, both of Stratford.

Also helping at the reception were Chuck and Jan Devereaux, uncle and aunt of the bride, Ada, Kay Bishop, Ada, Kim Barnett and Sue Jones, both of Stratford.

Out of town guests included Carlton and Mary-Martha Rhodes, Autaugaville, Ala.

The couple will be taking a cruise to Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Grand Turks and Kayos, and the US Virgin Islands in December.

They will reside in Stillwater where the bride will be attending the veterinarian program at Oklahoma State University and the bridegroom is employed as an insurance crop adjuster with Pro Ag.
