Helleland, Duncan exchange vows
Exchanging wedding vows May 2, 2009, were Joni Rae Helleland and Timothy Michael Duncan, both of Norman. The Rev. Randy Wade officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church in Norman.
Parents of the bride are Rob and Lou Helleland, Ada. She is the granddaughter of Betty Denham, Norman, formerly of Fitzhugh.
The bridegroom is the son of Bill and Jane Duncan, Laveen, Ariz.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Amanda Lowry, cousin of the bride, Norman, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Corey Wickersham, Tulsa; Esther Sartain, Tulsa; Jeni Hendrix, Norman; Alison Kirby, cousin of the bride, Norman; Megan Overholser, cousin of the bride, Orange County, Calif.; and Natalie Scott, sister of the bridegroom, Greenville, Tenn.
Jeremy Hess, Edmond, and Aja Jones, Tulsa, were best men. Groomsmen were Charlie Frasier, Edmond; Tanner Helleland, brother of the bride, Norman; Courtney Christensen, Queen City, Texas; Gabe Hansen, Hoboken, N.J.; and Justin Freeman, McAlester.
Marc Claudé, Norman, and David Scott, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Greenville, were ushers.
Addison Masters, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Ringbearers were Carter Lowry, Norman, and Logan Kriby, Norman, both cousins of the bride.
Candlelighters were Stephen and Preston Denham, cousins of the bride, Norman.
Rachael Hancock, cousin of the bridegroom, Lubbock, Texas, attended the guest book.
Organist was Oliva Buthod.
A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, followed at Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History.
The bride is a graduate of Ada High School and the University of Oklahoma.
The bridegroom graduated from Clinton High School and OU. He is a directional driller with Baker Hughes Inteq.
After a honeymoon to Sandals Grande Antigua Resort and Spa, the couple established a home in Norman.
