Wall, Cox marry June 16
ADA — Melissa Wall and T.L. Cox, both of Ada, exchanged wedding vows at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church June 16, 2007. The Rev. Rusty Hewes officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Evert and Glenda Wall, Ada, and the late Paula Wall. She is the granddaughter of Lela and Jack Williamson, Ada.
Parents of the the bridegroom are Tom and Pam Cox, Collinsville, Texas. He is the grandson of Lewis and Ann Cox, Gainesville, Texas, and Dian Gilbert, Durant.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Christina Wall, sister of the bride, Ada. Bridesmaids were Amber Henderson, Ada, Jamie Cheatwood, Virginia, and Karla Cox, sister of the bridegroom, Collinsville, Texas.
Best man was J.T. Beavers, Sherman, Texas. Groomsmen were Matt Wiley, Ada, Jacob Brinkley, Gainesville, and Patrick Cox, cousin of the bridegroom, Collinsville, Texas.
A reception was hosted at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church following the ceremony.
The couple is at home in Ada following a wedding trip to Boston, Mass.
Carolyn Salazar marries jay Lawley
SEATTLE, Wash. — Carolyn Marie Salazar, Seattle, Wash., and Jay Kirk Lawley, Auburn, Wash., were united in marriage Sept. 14, 2007.
The bride is the daughter of Gerald and Mary Salazar, Mercer Island, Wash. Grandparents of the bride are the late James and Catherine Davenport and the late Dr. Louis and Margaret Salazar.
Parents of the bridegroom are Dr. Gary and Patricia Lawley, Anchorage, Alaska. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Sadie Mae Thompson, Ada, Okla., and the late Clifton Thompson and the late Claud and Theresa Lawley.
The Rev. Patrick Howell, vice president of Seattle University, officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony which was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Seattle. Accompanied by musicians David and Laura Ash, the bridegroom’s niece, Sydnee Waggoner, performed two solos, “Ave Marie” and “Pie Jesu.” The ceremony also included readings by the bridegroom’s sister, Christa Williams, and the bride’s godfather, Edward Favilla.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a satin V-neck gown and carried a bouquet of periwinkle blue hydrangeas, white freesia and ivory roses. Designed by Augusta Jones Jolie, the bridal gown featured a chiffon bodice and a sweeping train.
Maid of honor was Heidi Langley, Woodinville, Wash. Bridesmaids were Kaarn Dempsey, Seattle, Wash.; Lara Dutto, Orinda, Calif.; Cindy Foster, Lake Stevens, Wash.; Brenda James, sister of the bride, Bainbridge Island, Wash.; and Gretchen Salazar, sister-in-law of the bride, Seattle, Wash.
Groomsmen were Ken Armstrong, Salem, Ore.; Brian Nash, Bellevue, Wash.; Tom Locklair, Anchorage, Alaska; and Michael Salazar, brother of the bride, Seattle, Wash.
The wedding party also included flower girls Alyssa James and Kaitlyn Salazar, nieces of the bride. Greeters were the bride’s niece Brittany James; Marlee Lawley, niece of the bridegroom; Stephanie Lawley, sister of the bridegroom; and Janna Gilkison.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Shilshole Bay Beach Club.
The bride and bridegroom are graduates of the University of Washington. After a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple plans to make their home in the Seattle area.
