Young, Deaton marry in church ceremony
TUPELO — Amy Young, Tupelo, and Roy Deaton, Ada, were married Oct. 13, 2007, at First United Methodist Church. Bob Langston officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Peggy Young, Tupelo. Grandparents are Henry and Minnie Miller, Tupelo, and Leonia Young, Lula, and the late B.D. Young.
Parents of the bridegroom are Bobby and Sheila Deaton, Yukon. Grandparents are Ruby Neugin, Oklahoma City, Leon Sanders, Ada, and the late Freda Sanders.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Terry Young. Matron of honor was Marcy Nickell, cousin of the bride, Latta. Bridesmaids were Dana Young, sister-in-law of the bride, Ada, Leighann Mattison, Paris, Texas, and Amanda Frederick, Allen.
Best man was Chris Jones, Stillwater. Groomsmen were Chris Deaton, brother of the bridegroom, Ada, Jeff Blurton, Yukon, and John Vanhautan, Yukon.
Ushers were Jeremy Young, brother of the bride, Ada, Timmy Young, brother of the bride, Lehigh, Brian Cuttingham, Yukon, and Adam Fudickar, Oklahoma City.
Flower girls were Shelbi Young, niece of the bride, Bromide, and Preslee Young, niece of the bride, Ada.
Ring bearer was Taylor Miller, cousin of the bride, Tupelo.
A reception was hosted at Fossil Creek Ranch.
The couple is at home in Ada following a wedding trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
